Many people ask, “Are the 28″ blue traffic cone legal to use on the highway and public streets?”.
Boulevard Supply has done some research on this as laws vary from state to state. There are no written rules regarding the use of blue cones at this time.
Section 6F.59 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, or MUTCD, states “Cones shall be predominantly orange“. You need to check with the department of transportation of the state in which you wish to use the blue cones on public roads. Some states forbid the use of any color except orange.
We suggest you use our 28″ blue traffic cones in parking lots and on private property.
